Cute as a button!
We at Mabel’s Labels are thrilled to be helping Stacey, a fellow Hamiltonian and self-proclaimed “fundraising freakasaurus” raise funds for Kisses for Kaitlyn.
Stacey is a cousin to a little princess named Kaitlyn who was diagnosed with Leukemia this past fall. Stacey stepped up to the plate immediately with an on-going, integrated fundraising campaign and named it Kisses for Kaitlyn. It creates awareness and reduces financial stress for the family (and what an admirable job she’s doing!)
Her efforts include:
It seems that some of the most successful fundraisers are creative, tug at your heart strings and just won’t quit.
We are following your story and blowing kisses to you, Kaitlyn!

We were doing some pondering at Mabel HQ and noticed most people think fundraisers are made for students and their schools. They bring their usual box of chocolate bars to family gatherings, squeeze a few bucks out of their uncles and aunts and that’s that. Easy, right?
There’s a lot of truth to that, but let’s use our imaginations this year and have some fun!
Have you thought about these specialized groups earning commission from Mabel?
- Dance teams, because every ballet slipper looks the same, right?
- Figure skating teams, because every ice skate looks about the same too!
- MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) groups; we have a bundle on board already
- Daycares, no matter how big or small
- After school programs
- A marathon runner going above and beyond for the cause
Or any nonprofit organization under the sun! The team at Mabel’s Labels is dedicated to helping our fundraisers achieve their goals, all while reducing their lost & found.

Looking to impress the parents of your school, daycare or specialized group this year? A savvy, green fundraiser is sure to do the trick!
We’ve compiled what we feel are the Top 5 Ways to Keep a Fundraiser Green. Read on!
1. Have a list of the parents’ emails? If so, e-newsletters are a great way to communicate with the parents that doesn’t involve a ton of wasted paper. They’re respectful of the environment and cost efficient!
2. Let the parents know your intensions to make your day-to-day environment more eco-friendly. Everyone is becoming more environmentally conscious these days and will likely jump at the chance to get involved.
3. Putting together an event? Be sure to carpool whenever possible and have recycling bins available for your attendees. You could even invite them via email!
4. Promote your green fundraiser along with Earth Day. Combining the two ideas will raise awareness of the products that help us help the planet.
5. Choose a product to sell that helps your belongings last longer, leading to less waste. I’m talking about the Mabel’s Labels Paperless fundraiser, of course!
Our Paperless fundraiser is an online-based campaign in which participants order from a personalized web address. We provide you with a variety of e-tools to promote the fundraiser and a username and password to monitor your sales. At the end you will receive a cheque for your commission earnings. It’s that easy to earn with Mabel – without paper!
If you have any additional tips, please be sure to share them with us in the comments!

Mabel has an answer! This is definitely the strangest thing to go on around the office:
A few weeks ago, Kim sent a camp a box of brochures to give out to their campers. Pretty routine experience for Kim! Yesterday they called to ask “what’s with the camel?”
“Camel?” asked Kim? Yes, when they opened their box of brochures, they found a Mabel’s Labels magnet and a camel statue!!
Kim did not send this statue. She sent brochures. Who’s the wise guy? UPS? Folks at the border? We have no idea, but it is hilarious! The best part is, the camp thought this was some sort of “welcome to doing business with Mabel’s Labels” gift and expected a box of brochures to arrive the next day.
a) I wish I was that clever and
b) I wish I could afford to UPS random camels to customers for no apparent reason!
Or can I afford not to? Is this the ultimate buzz marketing? They’ll never forget us, and how many people will they tell?
Brewster Day Camp: a box of actual brochures is being sent out today! Sorry for the delay – we ran into camel problems.
