Hello lovely Mabelhood neighbors! I have been sharing organizing tips here for some time now, and this week I thought I would do something a little bit different. I want to hear from you! Do you have a nagging organizing problem in your home or office? Do you have a persistent paper pile or old pictures stacked way too high?
Share your questions in the comments and I will feature the answer in a future post! We have covered topics like laundry, playrooms and even motivating your children to clean, but there is so much more!
Do you have any problem areas you would like to Ask The Organizer about?

Yes, I have all my children’s artwork and schoolwork and am having a hard time parting with it…any ideas on what to save, I have tried the save 2 a year thing and can’t quite pare it down to that..
also how to organize the kitchen, ie all the papers that come in and out of the house,
thanks
The area around our phone is a disaster. There is so much clutter: old school photos, phone books, library books, pens that don’t work, etc. I try to clear it up from time to time but it never stays that way.
hmm…i have three ‘messy places’ the desk, the car, and my purse. some how they just become a dumping ground for papers, or baby gear, or just little odds and ends. i’ve pretty much resigned myself to allowing those places to be messy so long as everything else is organized, but i would certainly appreciate any tips to salvage those spaces!
Sharon, In the past I have shared how I control all of those incoming papers by using a command center. That might be an idea for you to try out. I will definitely share some ideas about children’s artwork in a future post! I know how hard it is to let some of those go but I will give you a few great guidelines!
Isabel… be on the look out for some ideas regarding your counter clutter in the future as well!
My major messy point in the house is our kitchen island. It’s the first place you can dump things when you come in the door and it’s always piled high with magazines, mail, bills, lunch bag, etc. I clean it up when we have company over and 2 days later…bam. Any tips?
